Character Profile:

Kimori

Name:Tzukia Kimori
Born:Year of the Monkey
Birthplace:Shikoku
Traits:Versatile, imaginative, sometimes unscrupulous
Curse:There is a popular tradition, that in the family, there will always be at least one Ronin. For the past eighty years this has always been true.
Holy Ancestor:Kimori's uncle was a famous holy man, and is revered within the family. Kimori was named in his honour. "Uncle Kimsu" is the one ancestor that all the family respect with reverence.
Background:Kimori was awarded a small estate. It is currently held by his son, Tzukia Shoja, and daughter-in-law Khoko. When Kimori's wife died in childbirth, Kimori asked permission for leave of absence. The province had been quiet for many years, and Tzukia Shoja had come of age, and proved a good successor. Kimori became a Ronin, and began a pilgrimage. His goal was to visit the 88 shrines of Shikoku within a year, and then to return. At 40 years, he is nearing Inkyo (dwelling in retirement). The pilgrimage was not going well, there was always something more pressing. He had to take a job with Lord Chozo to pay his way. He is starting to have trouble with his health, and is often looking for herbal remedies to help him. His coughing can get quite bad after exertion, and in cold-damp weather - although this sometimes only comes on when near deep water or slimy places.
