Kima Venn
Age - 30-ish.
Kima Venn is from a Corellian family with a long history of military service. From a young age she was fascinated by starships and spent much time at the spaceports and shipyards, watching them and collecting operating numbers. As soon as she was able, she enrolled in the naval academy and managed to graduate at the top of her class as both pilot and engineer. The breadth of her expertise led to her assignment as a ‘wild weasel’ –an electronic warfare specialist.
She now flies a Kuat Firespray-31 EW – an electronic warfare variant of the normal patrol craft. She has unofficially named hers ‘Firefly’ and has already made a few modifications to the standard configuration. She has had a distinguished career running interference for starfighter squadrons and has reached the rank of lieutenant commander at the age of 25. She was recently accepted into the Firebird Society – an organisation of female officers who help one-another in their careers. It is likely that she will be commanding a fighter squadron before long.
Despite her ‘tech-geek’ credentials, she is an accomplished commander, friendly and popular. Contact with other officers has involved her in some unconventional missions. -Chances are that she will maintain these links with special ops, and will go far in her career.
She is a dedicated officer, both to her comrades and the traditions of the navy. She wil not desert friends of colleagues. She is smart enough to work out solutions to most problems and runs the ship herself most of the time. She admits that she could use an assistant, but hasn’t found anyone up to the job yet. –Usually serious until she knows people well, she loosens up around them eventually.
